Beautiful Romania

Hello, my name is Cezar Cehan, I am an author and a coach. I was born in Romania, and now I live in United States. The life-style here is quite different from the one in Romania. It’s better from an economical perspective, but I found that there are ways in which Americans can enrich their Life experience.

I moved to United States 15 years ago. Almost every year I spent my vacations in Romania and I organized trips together with my friends throughout Romania. The initial purpose was that *I* would have a rich experience of the beauty of Romanian mountains, landscapes and rustic activities, because I missed that while living in US. Suddenly, I got this idea: to spread that Experience to the American people, as well.

In particular, I am addressing to the Americans who have “some” Romanian ancestry. Perhaps they are the descendants of the immigrants who came here between 1895 and 1920, during the first major wave of Romanian immigrants to the United States. Perhaps they are descendants of the Romanians who immigrated here during the Communist era, forced (by the Communist regime) to cut all of their ties with Romania and forbidden from visiting their natal places.

There are about half million of Americans who can relate to these scenarios. Most probably, they have never visited “the old country”.

Most probably, they have no close relatives there.

Most probably, they feel some nostalgia remembering the stories that their parents and grand-parents used to tell.

Perhaps they thought about traveling to Romania, but all that mix of Communism and Dracula seemed kind of scary, and they didn’t feel it was safe and secure for them to dive into that “unknown territory” on their own.

It’s understandable; it’s always a good idea to have a Guide whenever you go to a new place – preferably one who have been in contact with both “worlds”: the one you’re coming from and the one you intend to visit.

I want to be your Guide, because I believe that Romania is a beautiful country, with a rich history and a fascinating culture. I believe that everyone could be exquisitely impacted by visiting Romania, and – even more so – the ones having some Romanian blood through their veins.

Moreover, my intention is not only to show you some museums or representative places. My intention is to build for you an Experience to Remember, so that You will have first-hand stories to tell to your children and to your grand-children. I want you to experience Romania at its simplicity.

I realize that not everybody would enjoy seeing breathtaking mountains, or making a rustic barbecue and telling stories around a tall camping fire, or visiting a sheepfold and witnessing how the cheese is made (and eating ‘real’ cheese), or taking a boat through Danube Delta, or visiting 500 years old monasteries still showing their mural paintings, and so on.

However, many people I talked with about that were enthused of the idea.

If this perspective tickled your curiosity – at least a bit, take a quick look at the places I intend to guide you through. I am looking for a small group of people (10-12 persons max.), built through referral only. Before even deciding if this Experience is right for you, I want to Connect with you first, as a human being.

Why? Because I will be your Personal Guide through Romania, you will have my entire attention and I want you to enjoy it to the fullest.

I setup a Facebook page and I uploaded many pictures, to give you an idea of what I am talking about. It’s called “Heart to Heart Romania” and you can find it here:
